In No.26 (Pilgrim Chichibu)(Chichibu, Saitama, Japan)

 

This pillar is built in front of the main hall.

The Buddhist image hidden once per 12 years is exhibited.

A string is tied to a hand of the Buddhist image.

And the string is tied to this pillar.

A worshipper allies himself with Kannons by grasping this string.

I'm saying a Buddhist image, but the one prayed at this pilgrimage temple is a Kannon correctly.
